Colin Firth, Ralph Fiennes, Hugh Grant...EVERY ROMANTIC COMEDY EVER

Michael Fassbender: Fassy on a plane! (FASCINATING FASSBENDER)

Michael with a fan on a plane around March 21 en route to Dublin. A pleasant, but not in sharky grin mode.

This is the third time that Michael Fassbender was photographed on an airplane. The first time he was asleep, the second he was with his then girlfriend, and now this time, a lady was lucky enough to get a picture of him in the middle of a aisle for all the rest of the passengers on the plane, to curiously wonder, who is that bloke in the NY hat? He must be famous for someone to pose with him on the plane. Well, this just goes to show you how nice and accommodating Michael appears to be. He doesn't have his usual toothy smile, but he looks pleasant enough. But I sense he's like, 'Ok, let's be quick about this people are looking'.

And you know what, speaking of his eye twinkling smile, I think we can sometimes get an idea as to how comfortable and happy he is when he poses with fans. Sometimes he smiles so enthusiastically, we fear his face will break, and you know then that he's completely enjoying that moment with the fan. Then there are other times when he has a pleasant smile... to be cordial. I don't know if Michael has ever told a fan no, and that says a lot about his character... but the radiance (or lack of) of Michael's smile can be telling at times.

Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston Joins Kenneth Branagh in Manchester Macbeth LONDON BUZZ By Marc Snetiker (BROADWAY.COM)

The show will be performed in a run-down church in the city center, beginning July 5 and running for two weeks. There will also be a live broadcast of the play on July 20.

Directed by Rob Ashford, the Bard’s tragic tale follows a Scottish general who becomes consumed by ambition after receiving a prophecy from three witches that he will one day become King of Scotland. Benedict Cumberbatch recreates the 'fatal' leap from Sherlock's series two finale for new episodes By HANNA FLINT (DAILY MAIL)

With the production of season three of Sherlock well underway, fans breathed a sigh of relief that their favourite sleuth was back from the dead.

But it seems the incident of his 'fatal leap' in series 2 will be revisited as Benedict Cumberbatch was seen back at St Bartholomew's Hospital ready to jump from the lofty heights again for the cameras.

Gearing up to take the plunge, The Reichenbach Fall was remembered once more.

There was much orchestration before Benedict leapt off the blue structure, as he was seen talking to crew members from above on a walkie talkie.

But then it was time for action, and the actor looked stoic as he mentally prepared himself for the stunt.

Dressed in the same blue tartan scarf and black overcoat of Sherlock from the series 2 finale, Benedict fell forward, twisting in mid-flight to face the heaven's above.

Then up came his stunt double, dressed identically to the British actor, but he steeled himself for a headfirst fall.

As they continued filming in front of the London hospital, a crowd looked on in awe.

But then the action got more risky, with the stunt double launching himself into midair from a higher position.

Emilia Clarke, Henry Cavill Get Social Media Support For ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie (INQUISTOR)

Emilia Clarke and Henry Cavill have inspired a slew of fan-made trailers on YouTube. The subject of those trailers: to express support for the pair as leads in a Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

The movie, slated for 2014 but currently marked as “in development” at IMDb and thus limited on cast-and-crew details, is definitely going to happen.

Many of us think it already did with 2002′s Secretary, a film starring James Spader as a man named Mr. Grey, who begins a torrid sadomasochistic love affair with his much younger secretary.

(No similarities there, huh? Whatever.)

The book’s theme is certainly nothing new. Vladimir Nabokov was writing about this sort of thing with Lolita long before E.L. James’ bestselling novel broke into the mainstream last year.

DAN STEVENS: “Summer in February” Trailer: Horse Art, Romance and the Star of Downton Abbey (EQUUS)

Today we share the launch of the official trailer of the film we think you’ll love. “Summer in February” has its premiere later this month in a special charity night at the National Sporting Library in Middleburg, Virginia. The premiere coincides with a new exhibit of paintings by British horse painter Alfred Munnings, who is one of the film’s main characters. He stars opposite Downton Abbey‘s Dan Stevens, who plays another starstruck and slightly confused gentleman who looks great on horseback. If you think you might like this film, you should know that you’ll love reading the book of the same name, on which it is based. And yes, it’s a true story. It really did happen.

Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville to star as naked Duke in new Fox drama Da Vinci’s Demons! April 12th, 2013 by Anna Howell. (UNREALITY TV)

Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville is to drop his heirs, graces and, um, trousers, in his new role as the Duke of Milan in new Fox drama Da Vinci’s Demon’s, the Daily Mail reports!

Bonneville, who plays the highly sophisticated Earl of Grantham in the hit ITV period drama Downton Abbey, says he has no reservations about appearing naked for his new, controversial role.

Da Vinci’s Demon’s is a television drama series about Leonardo da Vinci’s early life, written by David S. Goyer for Fox and Starz networks, with the first of eight instalments due to premier on April 12 2013.

The historical fantasy, filmed in the Welsh coastal city of Swansea will explore the untold story of da Vinci “inventing” the future at the age of 25, and is also rumoured to involve the mystery cult known as the Sons of Mithras.

Bonneville, who appears in the series alongside his former Lost In Austen co-star Tom Riley, filmed the part shortly before filming for the fourth series of Downton began earlier this year and said of his casting:

“When Tom Riley calls and says, ‘How do you fancy playing a naked, hungover git who gets assassinated?’, you tend to say, ‘I’m free on Thursday next week.’”

Matthew Macfadyen - Getting Jiggy (everyone's favorite Matthew moment...)

Tom Hiddleston - Tom Hiddleston alarmed by female advances

Tom Hiddleston finds female attention ''alarming'' and believes women only think of him as a sex symbol because of his big screen bad boy roles.

Tom Hiddleston finds female attention ''alarming''.

The 31-year-old British actor was crowned the 'Sexiest Movie Star Alive' in a magazine poll in January, beating Robert Pattinson and Ryan Gosling to the desirable title.

However, the Hollywood star is baffled by his sex symbol status and is always surprised when women flirt with him.

Speaking on UK TV show 'This Morning', he said: ''With sexiest, it's a subjective thing. It's alarming when attention comes your way.'

Hiddleston believes women may have voted for him because they are attracted to his evil alter ego Loki from 'Thor', 'Avengers Assemble' and the upcoming 'Thor: The Dark World'.

He mused: ''It might be when I die my hair black, and wear white make-up, leather and metal, there's a particular vibe going on there.''

• Our source says you will totally forget about Reeve, Routh and Welling when you see Henry Cavill as Kal-El.

• Lois Lane does know Clark Kent and Superman are the same person.

• She gets Clark Kent a job at the Daily Planet at the end of the film.

BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, MARTIN FREEMAN, SHERLOCK: ‘Sherlock’ Season 3 Episode 2 Title May Confirm Watson Romance (SCREEN RANT) by Hannah Shaw-Williams

The producers of popular BBC modern detective show Sherlock have so far been very good at keeping details about the show’s long-awaited third season under wraps. Sherlock - which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, respectively – recently started filming again in London, Bristol and Cardiff, and the few details we’ve heard so far have almost all come from show creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

As he did for season 2 of the show, Gatiss revealed three “teaser” words for the next three episode: “rat, wedding, bow.” This has caused months of speculation from fans as to what season 3 might include, and the more recent announcement that the first episode of the season would be titled “The Empty Hearse” (named after Arthur Conan Doyle’s story, “The Adventure of the Empty House”) has also generated a great deal of discussion – particularly around how Holmes plans to make his return, and whether we’ll see James Moriarty’s right-hand man, Sebastian Moran, in an antagonist role.

Now it’s time to get ready for a lot more speculation. According to the Radio Times, Moffat and Gatiss have today revealed that the title of the second episode will be “The Sign of Three”, though they declined to offer any specific plot details about the episode, which will be filmed back-to-back with “The Empty Hearse” this spring. The script for the episode was written by Steven Thompson, who also penned season 2′s shocking finale, “The Reichenbach Fall”.

Benedict Cumberbatch (pictures) wears iconic Holmes hat as he films new series By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

In the last episode of Series 2 of Sherlock, we saw the man himself wince after being given a deerstalker hat as a gift.

However, as Benedict Cumberbatch films Series 3, it looks like the detective may have changed his mind about the iconic headgear.

The actor, 36, was spotted wearing a grey deerstalker as he filmed scenes with co-star Martin Freeman in London on Wednesday.

Sherlock, who faked his own death in the finale of Series 2, is seen emerging from a doorway to a crowd of paparazzi - presumably stunned to see the detective is alive.

As fans of the show will know, Sherlock wasn't too enamoured with the distinctive hat when he was given one on-screen.

In the Series 2 finale of the BBC show The Reichenbach Fall, Sherlock Holmes was presented with a deerstalker by DI Lestrade and his Scotland Yard colleagues as thank you gift for helping solve a case.

Among the new castmembers are Martin's real-life partner, Mr Selfridge actress Amanda Abbington. It has been rumoured Amanda will be playing Watson's love interest Mary Morstan, who the doctor goes on to marry.

In August, show creator Steven Moffat hinted at the forthcoming series: 'These three words might be a title, it might be a clue. They are Rat. Wedding. Bow.'

COLIN FIRTH: Pride and Prejudice: Walk in the footsteps of Miss Bennet and Mr Darcy (RADIO TIMES)

This year marks the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen's novel. Tantalise your televisual memory this summer with a walk through Lyme Park, where Miss Bennet was startled by a wet-look Mr Darcy during the BBC adaptation

Radio Times Staff
12:36 PM, 11 April 2013

When a wet-shirted Colin Firth strode into Jennifer Ehle’s life, an iconic TV moment was born. Lyme Hall played the part of Pemberley in the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and the lake into which Darcy dived (or a stuntman, in fact, due to the risk of Weil’s disease!) is much the same today. The park nestles in the foothills of the Peak District and this ramble takes in spectacular viewpoints, canalside heritage and, of course, that unforgettable pond.

START

Join the towpath at Higher Poynton, with the canal on your right. Just past the end of the moorings, the woods on your left hide the remains of the little-known East Cheshire Coalfield.

Pass under Bridge 13, then leave the towpath and circle back over the bridge, joining the rough lane skirting Middlecale Farm to reach, in 700m, a cross-path waymarked by the Peak and Northern Footpaths Society.

Turn left on the path through Ryles Wood to reach, beyond fields, the lodge house at the edge of Lyme’s Estate. Keep ahead along the rough track through a high gate to the main driveway.

Turn right, and in 220m drift left on to a stony track that eases up the hillside towards the ridge-top and The Cage, an elegant hunting lodge. Clear days offer extensive views across this corner of Cheshire and the nearer moors of the Peak District National Park.

COLIN FIRTH: Rachel Weisz joins Skinny And Cat (INDEPENDENT)

The Oscar-winning actress has replaced Cate Blanchett - who has apparently left the project - to play famed photographer Margaret Bourke White in the love story, reported Showbiz 411.

Barbra Streisand had also been poised to direct the film, her first in 16 years, but has decided to pass on the job due to scheduling conflicts. Producers are now on the hunt for a new director to take over.

Colin Firth remains attached to play Margaret's husband, novelist Erskine Caldwell.

Skinny And Cat, which focuses on the couple's fiery romance and creative pairing, has been in development since 1982, when producer Linda Yellen wrote her first script.

Irene Adler plays a significant part in Sherlock Holmes' (Jonny Lee Miller) past, as his first and only love in London. Her mysterious murder by Sherlock's nemesis Moriarty caused his downward spiral into drug addiction.

2. He loved the board game “Trivial Pursuit,” and played it shortly before his death in 1986.

3. He never said the words “Judy, Judy, Judy.” The famous quote is actually attributed to Larry Storch, a professional impersonator who greeted Julie Garland as she walked in during one of his comedy sets.

4. Cary was actually British, and became a U.S. citizen on June 26, 1942, changing his name from Archie Leach to Cary Grant.

5. He was offered the role of James Bond in “Dr. No,” but turned it down because at 58, felt he was too old. Ian Fleming is said to have modeled Bond partially after Grant.

With The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug coming to cinemas at the end of the year, Ian McKellen has praised his co-star Benedict Cumberbatch who will appear as the voice to the dragon in the highly anticipated sequel.

Cumberbatch will appear as the dragon using the same pioneering motion capture technology that won Andy Serkis acclaim for his performance as Gollum and speaking to Metro, McKellen said

“Doing motion capture for a part such as that is tricky, I mean, how do you play a dragon? Then again, before Lord of the Rings people were saying, ‘How on Earth do you play a Gollum?’

7 New ‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 Spoilers Reveal Love & Drama Are in the Air (VIDEO) by Adriana Velez 20 hours ago (THE STIR)

Season 4 of Downton Abbey is still months and months away. How long away? We'll tell you in a minute, but trust me. It's like forever. I mean, we may be traveling by jet packs before Downton airs in the U.S. Meanwhile, little by little more spoilers about next season keep leaking out. Here's everything NEW we know so far!

1. More on Jack Ross, AKA "the new black character." We told you about how Downton producers are casting for a charming black musician. Now we're hearing he'll inspire some race-related controversy. Get ready to see Violet grimace disapprovingly and wave her hankie in distress.

2. Mary's new suitor. Remember how hottie Tom Cullen is joining the show as aristocrat Lord Anthony Gillam? Supposedly he walks into the Crawleys' lives to help them out with their financial problems. Naturally, he becomes a favorite of Lord Grantham. Gillam is "good looking [and] very charismatic [with] a perfect cut glass accent. He's warm and charming, but also a strong man with morals."

3. Mary's other new suitor. Oh yes, juiciest of all! It's not just Lord Gillam who's wooing Mary. Julian Ovendon, played by Charles Blake, will also compete for Mary's heart. She will only pick one, though, and my hunch is that it'll be Sir Gillam.

4. Mary may rebuff both! Actress Michelle Dockery says of her character, "I imagine she will not be able to move on very quickly. It will be very difficult to replace the love of her life." So don't expect Mary to get swept off her feet by either of these fine gentlemen too quickly.

Tom Cullen, Harriet Walter

5. Bates and Anna drama. Finally, that happy couple was getting to be dull. In an online chat, Joanne Froggatt (best name ever) wouldn't go into details, but said to expect plenty of DRAMA. "I obviously can't say more than that but I think it may be the best yet and there are certainly aspects of Anna's character that have never been seen before ... I think these scripts are the best yet. [Julian Fellowes] has done such an incredible job." Also, Anna gets a new hairdo. Bangs? Haha.
